Midwives Association of Kenya launched!

Kenya’s Health Cabinet Secretary Dr. Cleopa Mailu officiated the launch of the Midwives Association of Kenya (MAK). The historic event marks the establishment of a midwifery-focused association that will champion the interests of midwives in Kenya and work in partnership with the Government and all stakeholders to achieve world class midwifery services in the country.

2016 Conference

Held on 12th August 2016, the Inaugural Conference of Kenya’s newly launched Midwives Association (MAK), was a huge success. This was a highly scholarly Conference in which Oral Presentations, Research Papers were presented, Exhibitions and representatives present from by leading maternal and baby health care brands and organisations working in Kenya, including the United Nations Population Fund UNFPA KenyaProctor & Gamble (P&G)Bayer in East AfricaJohnson & Johnson’s Baby (J&J)‎Babylove Network (BLN) and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH), among others. The event covered important midwifery areas of interest; attracting key global, regional and local midwifery leaders and scholars.
