The Executive of the Midwives Association of Kenya (MAK) is glad to announce the roadmap to the 7th Annual Midwives Scientific Conference, 2022 edition.
The Annual event, one of MAK’s most important conventions, will be hosted by MAK’s Nakuru County Team. The 3-day event will be held from 4th to 6th October 2022.
The MAK Annual MSC is where midwives from all parts of Kenya throng for heartful professional exchanges, updates and information sharing. Participants make presentations on experiences, trends, finding and learnings from their day to day work.
The forum will take diverse perspectives, hear learnings from participants, promote innovations, but also tackle challenges. Participants are welcome to propose and present their very best.
The event facilitates both professional development and peer networking.
MAK Members representing the various branches in Kenya will treasure the opportunity to not only interact professionally, but to also have a good time with colleagues, especially in the wake of the C19 restrictions.
Several MAK Partners have been invited to engage with midwives. Presentations and talks by the Partners will inform the midwives on new sector developments, maternal and newborn care trends and technological advancements.
Not to be missed is the MAK dinner tradition; MAK and Partners will meet, get full and merry.
This year’s AMSC will focus on “Midwifery Quality Care: From evidence to reality.”
To elaborate and debate this theme, the following sub-themes will take centre-stage:
Quality maternal and neonatal care
Quality midwifery education and training
Midwifery innovativeness and investment
Culturally responsive maternity care
Midwifery and universal health care
