MAK CALLS 2022 ELECTIONS

The filled application form and relevant supporting documents to reach the electoral committee via email: elections.midwiveskenya@outlook.com or physically to MAK Offices along Mombasa Road as of 15th July 2022 for Branch applicant and 30th August 2022 for National applicants.

The Midwives Association of Kenya (MAK) is the national professional association representing midwifery profession in Kenya. The Association is a member of the International Confederation of Midwives’ (ICM), and registered on 15^th July, 2016 by the registrar of Societies in Kenya (Cap.108) laws of Kenya.

The MAK mandate to advocate for quality midwifery services through strengthening midwifery education, research, practice, regulation.

A strong leadership is therefore key in ensuring the mandate is fulfilled. In accordance to MAK constitution article 10, the MAK Electoral committee hereby issues notice for election as below:

1. Branch – Not later than 30th August 2022
2. National Election – On 6th October 2022

You are hereby expected to submit the following documents together with the application form that can be downloaded from midwives Association of Kenya Website as from 1st June 2022.

1. Valid NCK License.
2. Copy of National ID Card.
3. Proof of Subscription for 2 years.
4. Current CV.
5. Statement of Purpose/Manifesto.
6. Recent Colour passport.
7. Certificate of Good Conduct.
8. Nomination Fee: – 10,000 Ksh for Branch/Chapter level; – 30,000 Ksh for National level.

• Election Materials and Rules will be availed via letter communication.
• Only cleared candidates will be allowed to proceed with campaigns.
• Candidates for National posts to deliver hardcopies of above applications on the day of clearance for verification and submission.
• Branch Level candidate must remit their hardcopies to the branch electoral committees.
